Shipping from Marrakech: what to expect

Our rugs and poufs are made by artisans in Morocco and shipped from Marrakech. Here is what happens between your order on Etsy and the day the parcel arrives, and what it costs you.

1. Making time

• Rugs are made to order: allow 4 to 6 weeks of making before shipping
• Leather poufs ship within 1 to 3 days

The estimated delivery date for your country is shown on each Etsy listing before you pay.

2. Packing and shipping

Rugs are rolled and carefully wrapped before leaving Marrakech. Poufs ship empty (unstuffed), folded flat, which keeps the parcel small and the shipping cost low.

You follow the progress of your order in your Etsy account.

3. United States: free shipping, duties included

The shop offers free shipping to the United States. Prices shown to buyers in the United States already include the import duties on Moroccan goods. Only the sales tax of your state, if any, is added by Etsy at checkout.

4. Other countries

The shipping cost for your country appears on the Etsy listing and at checkout.

Import taxes depend on the rules of your country. For orders above certain amounts (for example above 150 euros in the European Union or 135 pounds in the United Kingdom), VAT and possibly duties are usually paid on import, and the carrier may ask you to pay them on delivery. Check the rules of your country before ordering a large rug.

5. Returns and exchanges

Returns and exchanges are accepted within 30 days of delivery, as stated on each Etsy listing. Contact us through Etsy before sending anything back, and keep the item in the condition in which you received it.

Custom-size rugs are made for you: ask us before ordering if you have any doubt about a size.

6. A question before you order?

Send us a message through Etsy: about a size, a colour, a custom rug or delivery to your country.
